Captain Bayard Fish Foulke, American Artist (1880-1861) Portrait of the clipper ship "Lightning". Oil on Board measuring 15 1/2" X 11 1/2". Fresh out of a Philadelphia Estate. The back of the painting contains the information of the clipper ship which sailed from Liverpool, England to New York which took 13 days and 10 1/2 hours according to the document attached to the back of the painting as shown in image #7.
